Working of Sound system that you need to know

The sound splits between two channels which are between left and right these are known as stereophonic sound. When the sounds are taken a step forward, live-qualities are produced effectively.

The surround sound system installation reality and a new depth for your experience in listening. This is not only because there are more speakers for the output, but also because the sound recording has more audio channels.

The audio or the video receiver

Every Home Theater Installation is a receiver of audio or the video. As we take a DVD as an example the DVD is produced through packing multi audio channels to a compressed format for the storage by the audio encoding.

When the DVD is played the audio or the video receiver decodes the scheme of encoding. The capabilities in decoding in an Audio or the video receiver are already built in. in the current societies, most of the most of the receivers can be decoded in the Dolby digital, and the DTS (Digital theatre sound). Higher end- receivers includes the DTS-ES or the THX surround.

In the current scenario, the receivers of the audio and the video don’t allow to control the source of the video and the other options for video.

5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 Sound systems

The 5.1 surround system is a technology which contains multi-channel sounds and produces 5 channels of the sound which is in positions to the right, left, center left surround and the right surround. Both Dolby and the DTS are the format channels of 5.1.

For the 6.1 system is the same as the set up of 5.1 but in addition, the sixth speakers must be installed as a rear center sound in order to provide a 3D sound effects. The 6.1 systems consume surround methods like THX, EX, and the DTS-ES and in the true 6.1 system, the position of the back center will be different from the left and right surround position.

Coming to the 7.1 system, the rear center speakers are split into two i.e. right and the left. The channel system 7.1 use a matrixed surround where its heard from right to left. And the multiple channels are mixed together and stored.

There are some common formats for the surround sounds and these are  Dolby surround, Dolby digital, Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Prologic llx, Dolby TrueHD, DTS, DTS-ES,TruSound XT.
